CNS is staffed with licensed professionals who have diverse experience and expertise in providing comprehensive Neuropsychological, Forensic, Psycho-Educational, Pre-surgical, and Beriatric Evaluation to children, adolescents, adults, and the elderly. In addition, our clinical and rehabilitation psychologist treats the full spectrum of psychological/emotional issues (i.e., anxiety, depression, trauma, LGBT issues, marital & family, mental illness and chemical dependence, and others), in teens, adults, and the elderly. She also has expertise in providing couples’ and family therapy.
Our goal is to provide the highest quality of care while always placing the needs or our patients as our priority. CNS provides consultation with physicians, families, schools, teachers, individuals, attorneys, and the Courts. Our reports provide a clear understanding of a patient’s cognitive (memory and thinking abilities), behavioral, and personality strengths and weaknesses, clarifies diagnosis, and offers specific practical treatment recommendations/accommodations.
Our doctors include bilingual licensed psychologists, rehabilitation specialists, and forensic neuropsychologists who have gained expertise in examining and treating complex neurological, medical, behavioral, psychological/psychiatric, and substance-abuse disorders. Our doctors have received a number of awards and honors, including the Blue Ribbon of Excellence from the American Psychological Association, Division of Clinical Neuropsychology. They are often invited as guest speakers to deliver presentations at local and national venues.
A neuropsychological evaluation is recommended if changes in cognitive function or behavior are suspected or to monitor the neuropsychological effects of medication or treatment over time. Typical referrals are made to diagnose or rule out various conditions, and to describe their impact on a person’s cognitive functioning. Examples of such conditions include, but are not limited to:
